B.Sc. in Fashion Technology: What is it About?
Fashion Technology is concerned with the art of manufacturing cloth material that is both pleasing to eye and pleasant to wear. The course has been designed to familiarize enrolled students with core garment manufacturing technologies, and their many applications.
The program consists of course components structured to provide students hands-on expertise with apparel manufacturing technology, along with practical exposure in terms of industry-based training.
The course encompasses a vast field of advanced learning in fabric design, concept management, design process management, quality control, printing, fashion accessory design, fashion merchandising, color mixing, textile science, marketing, and such concepts and related processes.
Eligibility for B.Sc. in Fashion Technology
Candidates wishing to pursue B.Sc. in Fashion Technology are required to fulfill the below-mentioned minimum eligibility criteria.
A minimum aggregate score of 55% at the levels of Senior and Higher Secondary Examinations (classes X and XII), completed from a recognized educational Board.
The Senior Secondary Examination (class XII) needs to have been qualified in preferably, the Science Stream, with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology as the main subjects. (Commerce students accepted in some cases.)
